Park Slope is a neighborhood in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City. This eclectic neighborhood is known for its tree-lined streets with historic brownstone homes and close proximity to many of Brooklyn’s finest parks, museums and entertainment. Visitors will find a wide selection of shopping, dining and family fun.
Like Manhattan, Park Slope has a major street named 5th Avenue. But this Brooklyn street features an interesting selection of small trendy shops and restaurants to fit any style and budget. Be sure to see the Pavilion, one of the few remaining neighborhood cinemas in Brooklyn. The theater still has the interior of the old style movie houses and features first run movies.
You can bring the whole family to enjoy the annual Halloween Parade. Kids especially enjoy dressing up in their best costumes and parading down the streets of Park Slope. The event has grown over the years and now attracts up to 10,000 spectators and participants every year.
Don’t miss the annual street fair. One of the largest and most popular events in Brooklyn, you can find live entertainment, food vendors from many nationalities and a vast selection of fine antiques, clothing, artwork and flea market finds.
